This privacy policy is for this website  Climate Services IBE and served by CNR – IBE and governs the privacy of its users who choose to use it. The policy sets out the different areas where user privacy is concerned and outlines the obligations & requirements of the users, the website and website owners. Furthermore the way this website processes, stores and protects user data and information will also be detailed within this policy.

This page describes the management procedures of the CNR-IBE Climate Services Initiative website in relation to the processing of personal data of its users. This policy is also provided pursuant to GDPR for the protection of personal data to those that interact with the services of CNR-IBE, that are accessible electronically and related to the domain: climateservices.it. Definitions

Matomo Analytics

The services contained in this section enable the Owner to monitor and analyze web traffic and can be used to keep track of User behaviour. Matomo Analytics with anonymized IP  In order to correctly analyse how the Site is used, the Data Controller uses the Matomo web analysis service on its own web server located in the European Union. Matomo collects information on how Users use the Site, which is then transmitted by the User’s browser directly to our server and is not shared with third party services. Matomo uses this information for the purpose of evaluating the User’s use of the Site and to return reports that are useful to the Data Controller in order to better understand the User’s preferences. Interaction with social media

This type of service allows interaction with social networks or other external platforms directly from the pages of this Application. The interaction and information obtained through this Application are always subject to the User’s privacy settings for each social network. Security Logs

The IP address of visitors, user ID of logged in users, and username of login attempts are conditionally logged to check for malicious activity and to protect the site from specific kinds of attacks. Examples of conditions when logging occurs include login attempts, log out requests, requests for suspicious URLs, changes to site content, and password updates. This information is retained for 60 days.

How we share your data

Data Retention & Sharing

Security logs are retained for 60 days. This site is part of a network of sites that protect against distributed brute force attacks. To enable this protection, the IP address of visitors attempting to log into the site is shared with a service provided by ithemes.com. WP Smush

Note: Smush does not interact with end users on your website. The only input option Smush has is to a newsletter subscription for site admins only. If you would like to notify your users of this in your privacy policy, you can use the information below. Smush sends images to the WPMU DEV servers to optimize them for web use. This includes the transfer of EXIF data. The EXIF data will either be stripped or returned as it is. It is not stored on the WPMU DEV servers. Smush uses the Stackpath Content Delivery Network (CDN). Stackpath may store web log information of site visitors, including IPs, UA, referrer, Location and ISP info of site visitors for 7 days. Files and images served by the CDN may be stored and served from countries other than your own. Stackpath’s privacy policy can be found here.
